Vegan Gravy

Vegan Gravy


Life just got better with the perfect recipe to make gravy from scratch the vegan way. The perfect savory sauce to add to a meal for the perfect touch of flavor. 

Here is what you will need .

Ingredients :

1/4 cup Vegan Butter

1 Medium Onion (finely chopped)

1 tsp Crushed Garlic

 3 Tbsp All Purpose Flour

1 Tbsp Tapioca Flour

 1 can of Coconut Milk (Unsweetened)

2 Tbsp Soy Sauce

2 cups Vegetable Stock

 1/2 tsp Ground Black Pepper

Dash of Salt (to taste)


  1. Add the vegan butter to a saucepan and let it melt. Then add the chopped onions and garlic - cook in to its translucent. Be careful not to burn the garlic; Optional ( cook onions first mid way through cooking add garlic last)
  2. Mix the flour and tapioca flour together. Slowly whisk in the coconut milk into the flour mix . Mix until free of lumps.
  3. Then add the flour and coconut milk mix to the saucepan adding in the  soy sauce and vegetable stock- mix together. 
  4. Bring to a boil, whisking constantly until it thickens. 
  5. Add some black pepper and then salt to taste.
  6. All done serve over biscuits, meatloaf, or mash potatoes or any other dish of choice, Enjoy!
