Vegan Dressing

Dressing is like the ornament to the Holiday Dinner. It's the savory touch of dressing that brings everything together. Whats Macaroni and Cheese without Dressing? The holiday dinner just wouldn't be complete.

So here's another exclusive recipe from my Holiday Edition a recipe for Dressing.

Here is what you will need :

1 box Top Stove Cornbread Stuffing

1 bag of Frozen chopped green bell peppers

1 bag frozen chopped white onions

vegetable broth

2 table spoons melted vegan butter

4 pieces of toasted bread

Seasoning: Poultry seasoning, garlic powder, lawry's

Directions: Preheat oven to 400*, In a pot heat up on a stove 3 1/2 cups of Vegetable broth and butter, when the butter has melted you can remove from stove and set to side. In a mixing bowl pour in cornbread stuffing mix, half bag of onions, and alittle over half the bag of green bell peppers and crumble the toast into the mixture.

Next, the seasoning, like I've said before its all about trusting the gut and instinct to taste. I could tell you about how much of what seasoning to use but trust me, if you trust yourself it will come out just right to your liking.

You can start off with 1 tbs of poultry , 1 tsp of garlic powder, 1 tsp of Lawry's.

The flavor really sets in from the poultry seasoning so if you need to add more, go for it.

Lastly pour in the vegetable broth and butter, pour in one cup at a time mixing as you go. The consistency should never be soupy. It should be a smooth consistency, easy to mix, but not soupy. If by chance your mixture comes out soupy just toast up some more bread. Easy fix.

Now its time to bake, bake 40-45 mins in oven, you will know when its done when it is lightly golden even all the way around and if you can stick a butter knife, or tooth pick in the dressing and it comes out clean.

It's all done. Lets sit for an additional 10-15 mins for the dressing and flavors to settle, than its ready to be serve. Dressing is best served with a slice or two of cranberry sauce .
